“What is Photozella?”
Photozella is an on-going visual project creating a body of work depicting nudity as a positive, uplifting and open experience. We bring together free-spirited people to be creative while naked in an enjoyable and respectful setting. Our larger gatherings blend art, performances, games, contests for an afternoon of pure natural fun. Our smaller trips can be anywhere from 3 to 12 people and are usually built around an activity, theme or visual project. Some outings are centered around fine art nude modeling and photography, others are more social with organized activities and free-form photography. We visit nude beaches, and other natural locations where nude use has been established.“Is Photozella for me?”
If you are comfortable being clothes-free, especially in an outdoor social setting, and if you like the idea of being photographed, then you have a good chance of being selected to join us. We are open to diversity of shape, size, race, age, gender and sexual orientation. We are looking for applicants who are physically active people with a youthful spirit and attitude. We are not looking for some ideal of physical beauty, so chances are you will be able to come join us and have the time of your life! When "casting" for a shoot we maintain a male/female balance, so single males applying are encouraged to find a female to pair with since we get far more men applying than women. Most participants are not "nudists" as such and most have never met each other before - so you need not feel like an outsider.“What Happens at Photozella?”
This can vary greatly from one outing to another. Our larger more open gatherings will have 50 or more people which allows us to do some group-art body photography. Games could be organized and at times people will be free to invent their own fun. There might be live music, dance, bodypainting, yoga, depending on the theme of the outing and who is invited. Everyone is expected to participate. But you can bring your camera and do some shooting yourself. Only a few individuals are designated as "official" photographers and do most of the shooting. Some participants volunteer to help by being in charge of food and drink, or overseeing activities, or greeting new arrivals. Normally we rent a bus to help transport people who do not have cars. The day usually also involves some one-on-one photo sessions between models and photographers. It's a great way to make new contacts and expand your portfolio. We are planning special trips to remote areas where we can do nude hiking and camping. One future project involves nude avant garde dance choreography. recetly we took a trip on a sailing yacht.“What do I get from Photozella?”

- On top of all that, we would hope that you make some new friends or establish new contacts if you are a model, artist or photographer.
“When and Where is Photozella?”
The next big Photozella gathering is currently planned for August 16, 2008 near San Francisco. We will also have paid shoots with smaller groups and individuals in September and October. Everything will happen somewhere within day-trip distance of San Francisco. Several beaches and remote inland locations have been identified as possibilities. We have participants coming from Santa Cruz, Sacramento, Santa Rosa, and some are even driving in from Los Angeles and Las Vegas!If you do not have a car, you can get a ride in our bus that will pick up a group from downtown San Francisco. The day normally starts mid-day and continues until close to sunset.

Remember, we are looking for people who are open about bodyfreedom and have an energy, spirit and enthusiasm for the goals of Photozella. Whatever you can tell us and show us is important. Single guys without a female "buddy" applying should realize that there are far more of you than we can include and if you really want to participate you need to convince us why you should be chosen; you may offer something unique that interests us, perhaps a special talent or performance.We are also looking for private locations to take small groups to - a backyard with a pool - a farm - a garden rooftop... Maybe you have something to offer.
