Location: Folsom Lake near Sacramento, California
This sizable lake was created by a dam and is surrounded by very interesting rocky terrain. At the furthest north end of this park is a cove designated for nude use.
These photos were taken in March.

From San Francisco you need to allow a couple hours driving time, but it may not take that long. Take the Bay Bridge toward Oakland but turn north (East) onto Interstate 80 which you stay on past Sacramento (direction Reno) until you get to Roseville. Take the douglas Blvd exit and stay on Douglas Blvd going straight east for about 6 miles until you get to the end which is the Sate Park entrance. Once inside you have to drive a couple of miles or so to get to the very end, the very last parking lot. From there it is only about a 10 minute walk on level terrain.
Walk north beyond the lot and you will momentarily see a small cove. Walk around it and out to the lake shore. Continue north to the next tiny cove which is actually marked as "nude beach" on the rocks.
